Principal intake in April annually, but some universities permit students to enter at a different time, like in October
Some classes are run year-round, but classes are often divided into semesters, lasting through the very first semester (April – September) or the second semester (October – March).
You will find usually 3 long vacations at Japanese institutions of greater education in the course of the academic year: the summer break (late July – late August), winter break (late December – early January) and spring break (late February – early April).
The procedures that need to be taken to enter Japan as a foreign student are as follows:
> Acquire admission to a larger educational institution > Obtain a passport > Acquire a visa
Please inquire at an overseas Japanese embassy or consular workplace for particulars relating to visas. Please note that a “temporary visitor” visa is typically necessary to enter Japan as a way to take an entrance examination.

- Examination for Japanese University Admission for International College students (EJU ), Japanese Language Proficiency Test , TOEFL, Written Examination, Short Essay in Japanese, Interview.
